Events in 1998
Bowling (28/11/98)
The youth group booked 'Hot Shots' bowling center in Brighton on Saturday
28th November. Lots of balls went in the gutter and few strikes were scored!
After bowling, we went back to the hall for hot dogs and more exhausting
games. Everyone had fun and are looking forward to it next year!
Ceildeh (14/11/98)
The Youth group had an evening of scottish dancing on Saturday 14th
November, Lots of people came and drank, and we had non-scottish food.
Members of the youth group helped serve the food and had lots of fun.
Theatre Trip (26/10/98)
On Monday 26th October, we took the youth group members to see "Joseph
and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" at the Theatre Royal. Everyone
enjoyed the show, especially Hayley, who got to dance next to a 'good looking'
character (from the play) during the grand finale.
Cheese & Wine Evening (26/09/98)
To help introduce new members to the youth club, we help a cheese and
wine evening to which everyone was invited. This annual event was help
at St. Marys hall and we got a few new members.
Sponsered Cycle Ride (12/09/98)
On Saturday 12th September the youth group did a sponsered cycle ride
around the local churches, to raise money for the Churches Restoration
Fund, the event was a success and we managed to raise load of money!
Hunger Brunch (29/08/98)
On Saturday 29th of August, the Youth Club (St. M & N's Youth Club)
did a 'Hunger Brunch' in Father Jonathons back garden to raise funds for
the Tidal Wave Disaster in Papua New Guinea (which happened earlier this
year). This involved us serving bread, cheese and orange juice to people
who payed £2.50 to eat. The weather was lovely, and a raffle was
held, also to raise money. All in all the day was a big success, with about
£235 being raised for the disaster. Many thanks to all those who
contributed and came along. A special thanks to Father Jonathon who let
us use his back garden).

Cycle Ride (21/06/98)
The cycle ride started at St. Nicolas Church and finished at Bramber
castle for a picnic and a game of rounders. The weather was nice and warm.
Lots of people came (not just members and leaders) and everyone had great
fun!
Bowling at Worthing (16/05/98)
On Saturday 16th May, MANYC went to worthing for an evening of bowling.
No guttered balls as the stoppers were out, and ensured that it was almost
impossible to miss. scores were high and everyone had fun.
MANYC Swim (14/01/98)
MANYC went swimming at Wadurs this year. Members of the church family
were invited as usual, and everyone had fun.
Spectrum Center (24/01/98)
A choice of two activities at the Spectrum Center ensured that everyone
had a bit of fun, weather it was swimming or ice skating, everyone had
fun, even though one youth club member broke one of their arms.
MANYC Dinner (03/01/98)
On Saturday 3rd January, the youth club had a dinner to celebrate the
new year with members of the church. the food was delicious and members
waited on the guests between meals.
